The Surf House

The Surf House

Our friends of the Millet Group opened the new Surf House in Byron Bay last year. Before doing so, they sourced a large range of coastal vintage style decor wares to decorate this historic building that once used to be the Byron Council Chambers building. It offers a bold new accommodation experience for the adventurous traveller. Having recently undergone a major refurbishment, rooms boast a beach-chic design that set the scene for your relaxed, sun-soaked holiday ahead.

.

The accomodation's original architecture has been kept and a modern design has been incorporated for comfort right in the heart of Byron Bay and we were able to provide all the brass hardware and vintage style decor pieces for each of the rooms, reception and roof top bar.

The brass numbers and coconut palms feature on the doors of each room.

Old fishing floats, nets and painted paddles add pops of coastal colour to the bedrooms and shared spaces.

Vintage surf photos and artworks are dotted through out the space. So too are old nautical flags and pennants giving a nod to the locations maritime history and surf culture.

Old life rings painted in coastal hues mix with nautical rope and tropical plants.
