The home of Tara Dennis, former television host of Better Homes and Garden is decorated in a beautiful relaxed coastal style & filled with lots of coastal vintage goodness.
Inspiration was taken from the nearby river shacks and oyster farms creating a home that blends seamlessly into the rugged environment.
Tara's aim was for the home to feel like an old weekender and she achieved this by using recycled materials and timber to create charm and authenticity.
It is also decorated with second-hand furniture & decor pieces that have character and a story.
Fishing creels, demijohns, old rods, vintage furniture and old paintings create that coastal vintage style!
An old lobster pot used as a light shade makes a fabulous statement piece in the living area.
This home is kept fresh & interesting by mixing old with new. Tara has a lovely refined style with a sense of elegance.
It is all about the textures and a soft coastal palette, rather than the literal coastal style such as a cushion with boats on it. It is the perfect style for where she is living.
