This style of bottle was used for spirits. It is embossed with a banner that says it is an Imperial Quart.
Old purple glass is also known as sun glass, as the purple colour was created when an ingredient in the glass called manganese was exposed to UV light.
Wonderful styling pieces for a vintage space, they make great vases.
