This amazing ceramic storage vessel was recovered from a shipwreck in the Java Sea near Kalimantan, Indonesia.
Dating from Chinese Ming Dynasty 14th/15th Century it would have been used to transport and store valuable commodities like mercury, oils, or spices along the ancient Maritime Silk Road.
