This is a Jodang - a beautifully hand carved Indonesian bridal chest.

Traditionally used to store and transport the bride's possessions they are often referred to as dowry chests & would be around or more than 100-years old. 

As you can see in the photos it has a little wear and tear that adds to its charm. It appear to have had a new brass handle added. 

This unique piece would look lovely in an entrance of a home, or the base of the bed. Perfect for storage or styling.
