This small metal box holds memories from a trip of a lifetime! Found many years ago in a shed in Stanthorpe, we can't help but wonder who this family is!
It is a Kodaslide file Box, and the slides inside documents what appears to be a family road trip and Island hop along the east coast of Australia in 1958.
There are slides from Currumbin, Rockhampton, and Heron Island, as well Grafton, Forster, Taree and Port Macquarie! They are a wonderful peak into the time with the clothes, cars and buildings of the 50's in full glory.
The reef and beach slides are especially beautiful!
Such and interesting collection and snapshot into Australian history.
Measures approx: 18cm x 6cm x 6cm (box)
