This purple glass piece is actually an insulator from the top of a power pole used by Australian company Agee.

The purple colour is is known as sunglass, it comes from the manganese in the glass changing colour when exposed to sunlight. This formula for glass ceased to be used around 100yrs ago.

A fabulous display piece.
