This pair of beautiful old port & starboard ship's lanterns came off an old Sydney Ferry.
They are dated around 1930's possibly earlier and were taken off the ferry in the 1950's when it ceased operating and the Iron Cove Bridge was opened. The ferry used to operate across the Parramatta River between Rozelle & Drummoyne.
We acquired these old lights from a collector. They would make a lovely feature piece for a nautical style interior or the perfect gift for the lover of old ferries.
please note there is a crack in the glass in the starboard lantern. see photos.
