This beautiful old 14" Japanese longline glass float has a FF maker mark and water trapped inside!

This happens when a float is pulled so far below the water that small imperfections in the glass open with the change of pressure. When they return to the surface the water is trapped!

Floats of this size are hard to come by, and would have been used deep sea fishing. 

It is at it's most beautiful when positioned to allow light to shine through showing it's gorgeous colour in all it's glory.
