Beach Shack Heaven!

Beach Shack Heaven!

Welcome to Shack In The Dunes. A lovingly restored Tassie beach shack situated in the tiny township of Weymouth.

We have regularly featured Shack In The Dunes on our socials and on our sister page Beach Shacks Of Australia

This stunning property is perfectly perched on the mouth of the Pipers River, where the gulls squawk, the tides flow and life slows right down...

Knock knock! Let's find out more... (Love this anchor knocker? Find a similar one here.)

Weymouth is full of sweet childhood memories for owner Heidi McCabe, as her Grandparents owned one of the first shacks to be built in the area.

Days in the North Eastern Tasmania seaside village of Weymouth are spent playing in the sand dunes and crabbing at low tide...

Throughout this stunning renovation, Heidi has opted to decorate in a colour palette that truly reflects her surroundings.

Natural timbers, soft blues, sandy browns and plenty of texture ensures a calm and restful space.

Foraged grasses and seed pods grouped in old jars create a lovely connection with world outside...

Heidi has established lots of lovely spots to sit and relax both inside and outside. You can even perch in an old row boat!

Heidi has selected a few key pieces from Coastal Vintage to really bring her Nautical scheme to life.

We love that she has chosen one of our hand painted life rings in duck egg blue. Doesn't it look incredible?

Beachcombed treasures can be found in every corner of the shack.

Heidi has made clever use of this old letterpress tray to display shells, seed pods, sponges and bottles.

Mismatched mugs in earthy colours and timber chopping boards work beautifully in the cosy kitchen.

While old fishing nets and jars of baby shells keep the look coastal.

A Coastal Vintage replica ship's wheel takes pride of place in the serene living area.

And glass fishing floatsbait baskets & grasses hanging from hooks complete the look.

With Shack In The Dunes, Heidi has created a masterclass in Coastal Styling!
