This old piece of rope is in excellent condition.

Found in a bundle it has been dyed using tar, which was the traditional method of protecting ropes and nets made from natural fibres from rotting too quickly when used in the water.

With great texture and colour it could be used in the garden, as a styling piece, or to tie up your boat!
