It has been many years since we have had a fabulous old marker buoy in store as they are few and far in between!

This is a Japanese long line fishng marker buoy. It was placed at the end of the line, and at night time, the light would glow so the fisherman could see where the end of the line was bobbing in the water. 

This beauty washed up on the beach on K'gari (Fraser Island) over sixty years ago when the Japanese fishermen used to fish in our waters. Its previous owner had it in his home all that time, so it is in fantastic condition for its age.

Measures approx: 1.5m tall. 12" float.
