This Russian sextant dates from 1984 and comes in it's original case. 

It was part of a collection that we acquired from gentleman who worked in the maritime industry across the globe for over 30 years. 

Sextants are measuring the angle between the horizon and celestial bodies to determine latitude. From this a sailor could work out their location on the chart. 

Perfect for a collector or as a styling piece in a nautical space.
