This old jar is a stunning purple colour. 

Old purple glass is also known as sun glass, as the purple colour was created when an ingredient in the glass called manganese was exposed to UV light. 

This once held The Navy Brand Pickles! Wonderful styling pieces for a vintage space, they make great vases.
